Lisa Williams, LMT

I have been blessed with a career that allows me to dedicate my life to others. Since graduating from the massage therapy program offered at MBC,  I have also studied to become a Certified Myoskeletal Therapist, Certified ACE Cupping Practitioner, Gua Sha Practitioner and Reiki Master/Teacher.  I have studied how to deal with chronic pain and am grateful that I am able to help others.

I enjoy teaching massage, medical, and business classes during the day at Metro Business College and seeing massage clients at my private practice in the evenings and on Saturdays.  I am a professional member of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA), ACE Massage Cupping Practitioner Association, and Reiki Healing Association (RHA).

I am passionate about helping others achieve relaxation and pain relief through massage and the rejuvenating benefits of Reiki.

[Why I do what I do]

Helping people take some time out of their busy schedules to relax or to abate chronic pain for someone who has been suffering for any period of time. It can be hard to trust someone with your body besides yourself and we (Licensed Massage Therapists) do what we do because we love to help other people feel better little steps at a time.

[A little bit about me:]

My career in massage therapy began in the month of November 2012 after graduating from the Massage Program at Metro Business College in Jefferson City, Missouri. After graduation, I immediately began working at several different spas and came to the conclusion that therapeutic work to relieve chronic pain was the area in which I excelled. I have taken several different courses on pain management, aromatherapy, migraine relief and also a craniosacral course to be better able to serve my clients with the best possible massage session. Each client is different and needs to be treated as such, all with their own preferences and special attributes that make them human. I want everyone to feel comfortable when working with me to better their overall health and lives, step by step. I used to teach Anatomy and Physiology/Massage Therapy at Metro Business College, and rather than stay as the teacher, my goal is to remain the student; Always open to learning and always willing to grow.  I am a professional member through ABMP  (Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals) and continue furthering my knowledge every year.
